Crafts & Recipes - Your Kids will LOVE these

Instant Puppets!

One of my 4 year old's funniest things to do (especially with a group) is draw puppets on our hands. Take your hand and place it with the underneath of your wrist facing you, and draw an "upper lip" along the area from where the thumb meets the index finger, to the other side of the knuckle area. Then draw a "lower lip" from where the thumb meets the index finger, along the side of your thumb and over to the bottom of the nail area. Draw two "eyes" above the "upper lip" area. Embellish with eyelashes and hair. When you hold your thumb close against the side of your hand, and curl your index finger down over your thumb, you can make your "hand" puppet talk! I'm "momma hand" and my little boy is "baby hand" and we go to the park and to the store and we talk in little "puppet voices". The kids love it and we "break the rules" with this activity by drawing on ourselves!

Craft Foam Stamping Set

You'll Need:
-cookie cutters (2 inch or smaller)
-a sheet of craft foam
-lids from spray cans or wood blocks
-wood glue or any waterproof glue
-scissors

What to do:

Press the cookie cutters into the craft foam or trace around the cookie cutters. Cut out the shapes. Apply a generous amount of glue to the wrong side of the shape and center it on the spray can lid or wood block. Allow the glue to dry. To stamp rub markers on the craft foam shape or use stamping inks or paint. Use the stamps to decorate cards and gift wrap or give the set as a gift. Note: Craft foam sheets can be found in the craft section of department and fabric stores. The 6 mm or super thick sheets
will work the best.

Salt Scrub Recipe

-1 c. salt (regular, with out iodine, or sea salt)
-1 c. olive oil
-15 to 20 drops pure essential oils, choose several citrus oils, such as orange, lemon, or grapefruit
-2 or 3 drops of peppermint or spearmint pure essential oil

Mix ingredients and store in a glass airtight container. Keep it out of sunlight.

To use: rub on hands, arms, legs and feet to scrub off dead dull skin. Rinse the salt off and then pat dry and rub the rest of
the oil in. It will leave skin feeling soft and smooth.
